When to write? When do you think writers write? Good questions. These questions do not have straight forward answers. Why? Because, when a writer sits down to work is greatly influenced by a number of factors.
Is the writer a full time or part-time writer or does he write just for fun? What else does he do apart from writing? Where does he live and how does his surrounding interfere with his writing?
Some writers do their craft only when they get inspiration. Some prefer to write in the morning, others at noon while others when darkness has descended over the land.
So, there is no straightforward answer to the question. You need to work out what's best for you and what's best for you may not work for the others. Try different period of the day (morning, afternoon and night time), week -even month until you find the best time for you. In most cases, I write when I am inspired and that can occur at any time of the day and night. When I am free, I stay up late and write until the early hours of the next day.
However, research shows that writing early in the morning may yield the best results. This is a result of 'will power'. Lets agree you had a good sleep at night and woke up refreshed and full of energy. Your mind will work better and you will be able to handle any given task.
If you do one draining task after another, you will realise that your ability to conclude each given task will decrease and results of subsequent tasks will be poor. Your will power will drain up. Thus, will power will be beneficial to the writing process and something you should note.
However, consider trying different options or writing times until you find one that suits you. Do not stop writing, irrespective of time of the day.
